One Document - two sites

How can I have a single document shared between two different sub sites? We have equipment manuals that are used by the maintenance and operations department, each has their own SharePoint site and we want to have the file in one location so we stay current.

You can have a single sharepoint site that can host shared documents. Others can put up links to the shared documents in the central location. Make sure all concerned users would have access to the shared location. The shortcuts can be setup in either of the following ways, either in explorer view (WebDAV) or using the “Link to a Document” content type. In WebDAV you can use the “Create Shortcut” command from the context menu (Right click -> New -> Shotcut). http://www.xavor.com/whatwedo/solutions/sharepointmigrationtool.aspx Free SharePoint Migration tool
