Problems emailing a group from a workflow
MOSS 2007: A document library has workflows that will not send email to email enabled Security Groups. The workflows perform properly with an individual email address, but I have tried the workflows with both email enabled security groups and distribution groups. Email is not sent to either type of group, but the workflow does not report any error and claims complete. The groups are set up in a "SharePoint" OU on our farm and can be emailed directly from Outlook where they work consistently. Finally, the question. What am I missing? Is there a setting like "Allow workflows to send email to groups?" somewhere deeper than I can get to?

Addendum: The groups all have "Contribute" permissions in the document library.
