With SharePoint, organizations can set up workflows and forms to streamline and standardize common business processes. For example, whenever a new job candidate starts the interviewing process, Human Resources might use a workflow that funnels a completed application to the hiring manager, who then fills in a form with his or her evaluation and then passes this form back to HR. Similarly, purchasing might use a complex payment approval workflow that directs invoices to the appropriate-level manager, and passes the invoice along a chain of command for final approval.
