This Week in Bamboo (May 17th - May 23rd, 2009)
Published 05/27 courtesy of Bamboo Solutions CommunityAgain many patches and enhancements were released this week at Bamboo. The highlight of the week, which is worth mentioning, is the major enhancement release of SharePoint Project Portfolio Dashboard R1.5. See my announcement blog for more details. SharePoint Project Portfolio Dashboard R1.5 contains two new additional Web Parts, Bamboo KPI Column and Project Portfolio Dashboard Mapping Web Part, which together as a set of tools will help you not only effectively plan, manage and report at the project level but allows you to roll up your reports to a centralized corporate level. This allows your organization to not only consume the data at a corporate level and proceed with best practices, but utilize the resources as a whole and proactively communicate the problems and needs.
See more details for the individual patches or enhancements below.
SharePoint Project Portfolio Dashboard (SA35 R1.5) -
PPD 1.5 is package as a bundle of 3 Web Parts: Bamboo KPI Column, Bamboo Project Dashboard Data Mapping and Project Portfolio Dashboard. You can activate the license for all three components with just one license key using the bundle licensing component. It is available for purchase individually for $1500 or you can purchase as part of the Bamboo Project Management Suite or the Bamboo Ultimate Suite.
Enhancements:
• Provide users with data mapping capabilities so that they can synchronize their own Project Summary Lists from different sites to the Portfolio Dashboard List.
• Include the Bamboo KPI column in the packaging to allow Project Managers to use the red/yellow/green status indicators in their individual Project Summary Lists.
• Rename product SKU from HW35 to SA35.
• Include the one-click bundle installation to install Project Portfolio Dashboard, Bamboo Project Dashboard Data Mapping Web Part and Bamboo KPI Column.
• Log file located at WINDOWSTempBambooSolutionssc_bamboo_%processid.log.
