Bamboo Heads Across the Pond for the SharePoint 2010 Evolution Conference

Bamboo is a proud Sponsor of the SharePoint 2010 Evolution Conference (and Bamboo Nation is a Media Sponsor of the event), and you'll be able to find us in booth # 17 in the exhibit hall beginning at 8 a.m. Monday morning. Staffing the booth and looking forward to meeting you and answering your questions will be an all-star team including Jeff Kozloff, Product Manager for our Components team, Gina Kyriakopoulou, European Account Manager, and Jill Kunkel, Director of Global Partner Programs. Your humble correspondent will also be putting in some booth time, but for the most part I'll be playing roving reporter, as I did at last week's ShareFEST Conference, attending and blogging Conference sessions throughout the day each day. All four of us will be wearing our Bamboo gear each day, so by all means, please say "hello" if you see any of us roaming about the Conference Centre.
Speaking of sessions, there are a whopping six tracks at the SharePoint 2010 Evolution Conference (IT Pro, Deep Dive 400, Developer, two Power User / Business Adoption tracks, and a Community - Talks from the Trenches session focusing on case studies. As befits the name of the Conference, and given the impending release, common throughout the sessions is the SharePoint 2010 theme.
Since it's never too early to begin planning one's course of action when attending a major SharePoint conference such as Evolution, I figured there was no time like the present to start mapping out my plan of action. The keynote speaker hasn't been announced as of yet, which leads me to think that the Conference organizers are hunting big game, and that there could be a big announcement coming soon on the keynote speaker front.
My plan of action is to bounce between the different tracks and sample from most, if not all of them throughout the three-day conference. Some of the sessions that I'm considering on Monday are: Cathy Dew's "Power to the People: Design in the Hands of the User"; Brett Lonsdale's "Utilizing Roll Up Web Parts in SharePoint"; and Maurice Prather's "Upgrading Web Parts for SharePoint." Sessions I'm eyeing on Tuesday include: Mike Watson's "The SharePoint Iron Man"; Todd Bleeker's "SharePoint Workflows for Developers"; and Joel Oleson's "Make Your SharePoint Deployment Social." For my Wednesday sessions, I'm eyeing: Mike Fitzmaurice's "SharePoint Workflow: Everything You Need to Know to Plan Workflows"; Matt Groves' "What Does Web 2.0 and Social Networking Mean to the User"; and either the IT Pro or Power User / Business Adoption "Ask the Experts" panel.
You can count on seeing multiple session blogs each day from me during the Conference, and reports from the exhibit hall and the Bamboo booth each day from the rest of the team. The SharePoint 2010 Evolution goodness will kick off Monday, right here on the Bamboo Team Blog.
