Bamboo Free Product Trials Extended to 30 Days
Published 07/31 courtesy of Bamboo Solutions Community
Hopefully, you are already aware that you can download and try any Bamboo software for free. In the past, we limited the free trial period to 15 days. Effective immediately, the free trial period for all Bamboo products has been extended to 30 days.
Please keep in mind that these free trial downloads provide you with a fully functioning version of any Bamboo product. We don't disable any functionality and we don't slow you down with pop-ups, spam or daily reminders that your trial is about to expire. You either like the software and find it useful, or you don't. That's just the way we roll here at Bamboo.
Why 30 Days Instead of 15? Why the Change?
We made the change simply because you told us you needed more time. Frankly, a better question might be, "Why did Bamboo previously limit trials to just 15 days?" The obvious and truthful answer is that we wanted to motivate customers to install and configure their trial software as soon as possible. To be honest, most Bamboo products can be installed and configured in minutes. We thought if we limited the trial period to 15 days, fewer folks would download software and never get around to trying it out. Maybe that worked and maybe it didn't. But ultimately we heard from enough of you that the 15 day trial period was inconvenient and too short.
Why Would I Need 30 Days to Evaluate Software? This Stuff Must Be Complicated!
Again, even our most complex products can be downloaded, installed and configured in less than an hour. But of course that assumes that you have the necessary rights and permissions (or a cooperative SharePoint administrator) to install software to your SharePoint servers. Many of our products are designed for the SharePoint end user. We know that out there in the real world, end users may have to jump through a few hoops to get their SharePoint administrator to install third-party code in their SharePoint environment. So no, this stuff isn't that complicated, our installation process is largely a one-click affair, but we know there's more to it than that.
And although most Bamboo products list for less than $1,000 we know that there is often more than one decision maker behind a purchase. Lots of customers tell us that they need to demo Bamboo products to multiple stakeholders before a purchase decision can be made. We get it! Especially in this economy, we know that any expenditure is likely to receive more scrutiny and vetting than just a few years ago.
I'm in the Middle of a Trial Right Now, Do I Get 15 Days or 30?
Unfortunately, trials that started before July 30th will still expire in 15 days. However, you are welcome to download a new 30 day trial today, or you may contact us and we will be happy to offer you an extension.
What if 30 Days Still Isn't Enough Time?
We understand that in certain circumstances you may still need even more time. Please contact us, we will be happy to work with you to accomodate your needs.
We sincerely appreciate your consideration of Bamboo software. Your satisfaction and convenience are our top priorities. Is there anything else we can do to improve the shopping experience at Bamboo? I would love to hear your suggestions, please drop me a line at steve.gaitten@bamboosolutions.com or call me directly at 703-964-2030. Thank you!
